Last week, while sick with another lovely virus, I ordered a Jawbone UP wristband. I have noticed 2 interesting trends so far:
1. When I can’t breathe because of a super-runny nose and/or gut problems, the wristband is great at capturing the terrible quality of sleep I get. (This is one of the reasons why I chose this particular activity tracker: it measures sleep quality. I know it’s not perfect, but it’s giving me much better information than I was able to track on my own).
2. Even when I’m feeling completely wiped out, UP analytics tells me that I still seem to be walking around the average daily number of steps for UP users. I mean, last week I left my place twice — once to go to a doctor’s appointment and once to buy chicken for soup — and I still racked up as many daily footsteps as most of the people using the band! I am shocked. No wonder there’s an obesity crisis.
